Class will be held Online and will use Hand-building techniques until restrictions are lifted:

Alanis will guide you through making a variety of vessel shapes that can be put together to make interesting sculpture. Bring your imagination and personal flair and learn to create almost anything you can think up.  Alanis will provide videos for you to watch a few days before the class begins. Click Here for a short video of what you can expect. Then when you meet as a class you will have a chance to get a head start and ask any questions you may have.

6 Week course on Wednesday Evenings  5/20/20-6/24/20
Level: Intermediate

Combine, alter, cut, turn & reassemble thrown vessels to create sculpture and unique functional objects.  A mix of throwing and hand-building together.  All supplies are included. Students are encouraged to practice outside of class during open hours. Class can be taken multiple times.

Clay is an excellent stress reliever – come and get your hands messy!

Special Notes

  • A 10% early bird discount applies if you pay for the class by 04/29/20

    Alanis Wagner is currently a student at UWM majoring in art education with an emphasis in ceramics. She loves to teach children and inspire creativity. Alanis has experience in hand-building as well as throwing on the wheel. Her energy is contagious and her classes are fun.
