Wheel Sculpture 7 Week course Tuesday PM $235

5/4/21-6/15/21  Instr: Alanis Wagner

Level: Intermediate (beginning pottery wheel experience required)

Combine, alter, cut, turn & reassemble thrown vessels to create sculpture and unique functional objects.  A mix of throwing and hand-building together.  Make beautiful teapots or pitchers with unique spouts. Make a grouping of vases attached together to make a flower-brick or unusual planter.  Learn to create an animal out of thrown cylinders. All supplies are included. Students are encouraged to practice outside of class during open hours. Class can be taken multiple times.

Clay is an excellent stress reliever – come and get your hands messy!

Special Notes

  • Alanis Wagner
    Alanis Wagner is currently a senior at UWM majoring in art education with an emphasis in ceramics. She loves to teach children and inspire creativity. Alanis has experience in hand-building as well as throwing on the wheel. She has taught both adult and children's classes at Cream City Clay for 3 years.  Her energy is contagious and her classes are fun.
