Hand Building I : 6 weeks Monday PM 6pm- 8:30pm

Level: Beginning – Intermediate

Learn the basics of creating clay objects by hand using the methods of coil construction, soft & hard slab and the most basic of pinch. You will learn how to use the slab roller, extruder, slump, hump and sprig molds and other various tools to give your pottery texture and diverse, interesting structure. Create sculpture or larger functional pottery that is not easily attained on the pottery wheel to use in your daily life.

Special Notes.

• Note: This Class is held on the second floor and there are stairs to access the classroom
• Bring inspiring pictures or items to stamp into the clay if you have them.
• Small class size will allow for individual attention
• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Trim nails short and leave rings/watches at home
•  Free Parking in back
• 12 person maximum (wait-list is available for additional people)
