MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour

September 23, 2019

On October 5 & 6, the MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour will showcase the working studios of 13 Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council members residing in Milwaukee County. Each “Host” studio will also feature one or more WDCC guest artists for a total of 36 participating artists. Attendees will be able to view the creative environments where the host artists develop and produce their wares while also shopping for one-of-a-kind artisan goods displayed during this two-day event. Each location will offer a distinct variety of fine crafts such as: fiber, leather, ceramics, woodworking, sculpture, metalsmithing, photography, mixed media, jewelry, painting and glass.

This open studio event is a self-guided driving tour of 13 WDCC member studios in Milwaukee County. The Tour website, MKEfinecraftstudiotour.org, gives detailed information of all participating artists and who will be at each of the tour stops. All 13 locations (including Cream City Clay) are linked to Google Maps and a printable map is also available on the website. Attendees can visit all thirteen tour stops or select a variety of stops based on their personal interests.   The artists featured at Cream City Clay will be Liz Lewandowski, (L2 Studio), MaryAnne Roethle, (Rockway Pottery), Julie Terwelp, (Snap Happy Creative), and Diane Evans (Dee Evans Pottery).  All four artists work in ceramics.
